Summer Internships Available
We are offering summer internships at Salt & Sand Studios. Learn the skills of working with glass and how we run a small artist business.
Interns will get free glass lessons and will keep whatever they make. When not in classes interns will be at the studio one or two half days a week to experience and get hands on with the running of a small artist company.

What we are looking for:
- A motivated local student aged 14 to 18.
- Available between July 10th and August 25th.
- Intersted in art and leanring about a small business.

What they will do:
- Learn glass fusing, flameworking and glassblowing.
(how much will depend on their availability).
- Gain understanding of the running of a small art studio.
- Get involved in the daily running of a business.

Flameworking Summer Camp
Make beads. marbles and small glass sculptures. Learn the basics of flameworking glass, using the hot torch to manipulate the glass in to beautiful glass pieces.
Over five days, each student will develop the skills to create their own glass art. Each day will introduce new methods and students will incorporate these into their work.
Vaccination (and boosters) required.
Waiver required, digital agreement when booking.
- No experience necessary.
- Ages 12 and up.
- $550 per student.
- Maximum Class Sizes: 3.
- Class runs Monday through Friday.
- 9am to 12pm, 3 hour class.

Glass Blowing Summer Camp
Take your first steps into the world of glass blowing with our summer camp. Learn the skills necessary to blow your own colored drinking cup.
Students will build skills each day to make their own colored cup by the end of the week.
- No experience necessary.
- $660 per student.
- Maximum Class Size: 3
- Class runs Monday through Friday
- 9am to 12pm, 3 Hour class.
- All materials included.

Policies for Summer Glass Camps
By booking this class you agree to the following:
- Vaccination (and boosters) required for all students.
- Pre booking is required.
- Waiver required, digital agreement when booking.
- Masks maybe required to protect students from glass dust.
- Students will not attend if you are sick or have any Covid-19 symptoms.
Refund Policies:
- Full refund if you cancel the class with more than 14 days notice.
- No refunds for cancellation within 14 days.
